About

Thank you
for taking the time to visit St Louis Grammar website, we hope it will provide
you with a flavour of the St Louis ethos, our excellent academic profile and the
emphasis we place upon rapport at all levels throughout the school.
We
currently provide almost 1030 pupils, from 11 – 19, a friendly, caring and
competitive learning environment. Our school has been in existence since 1925
and has earned many accolades for high quality learning and teaching experiences
since those early days. We have a most hardworking, dedicated and professional
staff and place great value upon high quality pastoral support this year.
Our motto
"Ut Sint Unum” – that all may be one, epitomises the St Louis principles and to
that end we are very much a family school. Recently we have added the mantra
"Excellence Endeavour and Empowerment” as being key features of what we strive
to promote in our pupils and staff. We constantly aspire to meet these ideals
and are tireless in our commitment to maintaining standards and investing in
learning technologies to facilitate our pupils. Our ICT investments and 4G pitch installations are evidence of this drive to provide only the best resources for our students.
As a
Catholic grammar school, we work to deliver partnerships with colleagues in the
primary and post primary sector through the Ballymena Learning Together learning
community.
This year we celebrate our 90th year as Catholic educators continuing a proud tradition of preparing our students for university, work and ultimately making a difference in society.
We have recently been acknowledged as a recipient of the Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) as a Centre of Excellence. As an external ratification of all we do, this is a high honour for us to hold.
Our recently refreshed curricular offer means that we offer a diverse range of curriculum choice for our students at Post 16. Our Sixth Form now meets the needs of over 330 students at A Level and we are delighted to be able to offer places to students from local post primary schools to ensure a career pathway is available to as many students in our community as we can.
Our A level/GCSE results have placed us in the top cohort of schools in NI and this is indeed a reflection of our staff and pupil partnerships. (In the next few years with planned Department of Education investment, our resources will meet our aspirations more fully with a £4 million project on Kintullagh House)
We trust that as you surf our website and research our school you will recognise and value all that we as a school stand for and will be able to support us in our vision to be able to prepare our students to make significant contributions to society.
