Orchestra

The St Louis Music Department organises a number of large ensembles on a weekly
basis. The Junior Orchestra meets each Thursday after school in the Convent
from 3:30:4:20 and is open to student in Years 8-10 who have achieved Grade or
above in their string instrument. The Junior Orchestra participate each year in
the Annual School Carol Service, Easter Concert and Junior Concert. They are
past winners of their section in the Ballymena Music Festival. It is conducted
by Miss Donnelly and assisted by Mrs Mullan (Violin Teacher)
The Wind Band meets after school every Tuesday in the Convent from 3:30-4:20. This group is open to students Years 8-14 who please a brass or woodwind instrument. They also perform at the school Carol Service and Easter Concert. They are also previous winners of Ballymena Festival. They are conducted this year by Miss Cush.
