Man Utd Trip
Manchester v Fulham (8th December 2018)
On Saturday 8thDecember, 44 pupils and five staff departed the school grounds in the very early hours to travel to Dublin port. They got the ferry across to Holyhead and made the journey up to Manchester for the 3pm kick off. In an entertaining game, the fans were delighted with Manchester United scoring 4 goals over the 90 minutes so there was plenty of singing and cheering for the St Louis group! After the game, there was some time for shopping in the impressive Trafford Centre before arriving at the Ibis Styles Hotel in Crewe where we would be staying that night. After dinner, pupils were given free time before bed but after the 3am start, all pupils were very tired so settled very quickly for a good night’s sleep!
After an impressive breakfast, we left the hotel at 10am on Sunday morning to make the return journey to the ferry and the group arrived back at school at 8pm on Sunday evening. While the tiredness will pass, the trip will be remembered as one of the highlights of their early days in St Louis.
Special thanks to Mr Gillan for organising and leading the trip as well as Mr McNaughton, Mr McCorley, Miss Ferris and Miss Doherty who accompanied Mr Gillan and the Year 8 and 9 pupils to Manchester at the weekend.
