Welcome to St Louis Grammar School website. The site contains a wealth of information about the school and offers the facility for our past pupils to register and stay in touch.
The traditions of St Louis are very important to us as they have been handed down by the St Louis Sisters who founded the school in Ballymena in 1924. We remain committed to our goals epitomised in the school motto Ut Sint Unum – “That we all may be one”.
The school strives for academic excellence in the context of a caring Christian community with the added emphasis of an educational provision relevant to the modern age in which we live and work.
In practical terms we aim to ensure that the quality of relationships within our school community reflects our Christian value and that pupils learn from the everyday experience in St Louis as well as from the formal curriculum.
The development of awareness among pupils of those in need in society is a high priority in the school and comes to prominence in our Romania and Lourdes projects. In addition the whole school unites during October to raise funds for the Missions and it is a valued tradition.
As a grammar school we aim for the highest academic standards and we are very proud of the achievements of our pupils and indeed our past pupils as they move through Third Level education and into their chosen careers.
I hope you take the time to explore our site and find out more about the school.
